We have heard all about the fun our friends have had in McCall every year for their winter carnival and so we decided to tag along and see what it was all about. McCall is about 2 hours from Boise and get a surprisingly large amount of snow and remains relatively cold all winter. So late January they haul out huge ice blocks and snow blocks and carve them into amazing winter sculptures, some the kids can play on and some you just look at and wonder how they did that. It was a great time walking around in the melee with all the other people that came for the freezing good time.DQ so happy to be somewhere there was a pool to swim in and endless fun to be had.
The family enjoying the pool, I had worked the night before and with 4 hours of sleep under my belt I thought the pool was an unsafe arena for me to venture into, so I side lined the fun for now.

Next morning we awoke to a beautiful day, cold crisp and ready for us to take on the tubing hill. This is the best thing ever. The tubes have tow ropes on them and you ride up the hill being pulled by a rope tow, then you pick one of three runs to fly down and do it all over again. It was so worth the cost and all the screaming.
DQ came off the rope tow so The Man had to tow her up with him, good thing she is so light.
The whole gang coming down the mountain, it was such a fun time and now we know what to expect so next year we can be more prepared for more fun, namely going snowmobiling and avoiding the crowds.
Thanks Fenn's for letting us tag along - you guys are the best!
