Spring Utah Style

Last fall the kids and I planted about 350 bulbs in the ground. There is always that fleeting thought that they got planted up-side-down, but here is proof that we got it right; young weather changing blooms.Sweet-boy so excited to see the Daffodils, finally.
But then we turn around and see this coming our direction. Could all that wonderful sun of yesterday, the kind that tickled our noses and left a slight trace of spring pink to it, could that have all been just a joke?
Yes indeedy it was, winter is not ready to let go. This is the delight that awaited me as I opened my blinds this morning. Poor little guys are not liking that snow on their butter-cups.

We were just jumping on you, snow free and ice chunks melted. Blasteded 6 more weeks of winter, in Utah terminology that means that it could go on till June.

So for today I will put away my capris' and get out the warm coat again and keep dreaming of warmth, the kind that is not fleeting.
Happy Spring!

Waaah! I'm right there with you. We took our girl to school with thick flakes a-flyin'!

This would be the same girl that has a sunburn from playing outside ALL day Saturday. Crazy Utah spring. (heavy sigh)

Yep,yep, it's the same here. Winter coats are back in style. And it's spring break for us. So sad. We can't even play outside it's just too miserable. I know I should be thankful for the moisture, but I really enjoyed that breif moment of sunshine.

Oh, I feel so bad for you Utahians (if that's not a word, it is now).

Snow after March 20th is just wrong. And unfair.

Here's hoping for some sunshine to melt that snow soon.

Same story here--and throughout most of the country I hear---crazy spring! I think those Dafodils are use to a little snow from time to time, they'll make it :)!

Bummer! Its been rainy here, so we haven't had weather to be envious of either. Our daffodils came up several weeks ago - then we also got some snow. Crazy! Wanna know what else is crazy...check out my most recent post!

Hope you're well miss "almost nurse"!

I know!!! Could you believe all the snow we got yesterday? Crazy! My 6 minute drive to take Greg to school took close to 30! I had just packed away all the kids winter clothes too! I should know better by now, we have the craziest weather here, don't we?!
