Not worth the fight!!!

Last year "the Man" and I spent our Anniversary painting "Sweet-boy's" room and building this - the largest sandbox, cat litter box ever. What else do you do with a weird, extra large side yard anyway.
Well once it was done and filled to brimming with sand the rules were established:
1) no sand outside of the boards,
2) no throwing of the sand at others,
3) if you see black put it back,
4) no water in the sand box.
What is that in the sand box, water, is it water, could it be that we have forgotten the rules??!!
No, we have just decided that there are some things that are worth the fight and this is not one of them. Besides it has brought hours and hours of enjoyment to the kids and many others in the neighborhood.
Besides, we did it when we were kids too!

Looks like a GREAT time to me! We've been wanting to build a sandbox for a while now. Do the neighbor cats really use it?

Aaaaah...life! Wet sand is a lot more fun than dry :)!

And while I love most cats--I had to laugh at your story. I once charged out of my apartment in my pajamas to throw Oreos at the stupid birds that were singing too loud outside my window at 3 am (oreos were the only thing I could find to throw! :) )>

And thank you for having music. It was waaaay too quiet around here! And this song takes me right back to 1989!

Looks like a ton of fun but we better not come over or Mr Destructo will have all that wet sand in the grass.

A- Like that has never happened before. I look at it now and think about the 2 truckloads of sand that we shoveled in there, scoop at a time and I wonder where it all went?

That is an awesome sand box! I think I might have freaked out a bit at the water...but I agree. Sometimes it's not worth the fight for a few hours of fun!
